Santos defender Neto has called on his teammates not to underestimate Paulista quarter final opponents Ponte Preta when the pair meet over this week to decide who will make the final four.
Neto told reporters that Ponte Preta are “a great team, very regular and hard to beat. We know that we face a very good team and we have to be prepared. It is just a game and we must not waver ad come out with the win.”
“The problem is it is just 90 minutes and an error could cause an early exit from the tournament. We have to do our part to show our value.”
The match, which will take place on Wednesday at the Belmiro, gives Santos an opportunity to reach the semi finals, alongside expected duo Palmeiras and Sao Paulo. Botafogo SP are favourites to see off Ituano to grab the last berth in the last four.
