Two of Tottenham’s Brazilians have revealed their joy at returning to action for the club as both recently appeared in a behind closed doors friendly match.

Head coach Tim Sherwood has also discussed Sandro and Paulinho’s comeback match and two other key players returning when he spoke to the Tottenham Hotspur official site.

Sherwood said: “It is great news to see so many lads returning from injury at such a crucial time.

“They have come through okay and it’s good to see them get some minutes under their belts. There is nothing like playing.

“With players of this quality coming back to fitness it reinforces the fact that we have strength and depth in the squad.”

Sandro and Paulinho both took to their twitter accounts to thank their fans for the support during their recovery time.

The former Internacional midfielder firstly said: “Hello everyone. Guys, I feel good. I’m coming, thank you for the support.”

Whilst his team mate Paulinho added: “I’m very happy to return to training. Thanks to everyone who sent messages during my recovery.”

The pair will now aim to cement their position in Sherwood’s starting eleven and prepare for the World Cup, where both are likely to be selected in Luiz Felipe Scolari’s squad.
