Samuel Eto’o this afternoon reminded the world of his goalscoring abilities with a hat-trick against Manchester United and Luiz Felipe Scolari should take note of the fact ahead of this year’s World Cup.

With Brazil competing with Cameroon in Group A of the tournament- they face each other on June 23 in Brasilia- a fit and firing three-time Champions League winner could prove to be a thorn in the Selecao’s side if anything rests on the match.

Chelsea striker Eto’o had failed to set the Premier League alight since his tranfer to Stamford Bridge last summer, but his recent form suggests that he is rediscovering the traits that made him the world’s most feared marksman for a while.

A rampant goalscorer whist at Barcelona and Inter Milan, the African hitman then played in Russia with Anzhi before moving to Chelsea on a free transfer.

A veteran of 112 caps for The Indomitable Lions, and with 55 to his name, Samuel Eto’o could yet have a major part to play on the international stage before hanging up his boots and Brazil should take note.
