Spain manager Vicente del Bosque has praised Diego Costa’s character and insists he would into his plans.

The forward is expect to switch allegiance from Brazil to Spain, with the hope of representing La Furia Roja at next summer’s World Cup.

Costa has already confirmed he intends to swap nationalities, but the move has been held up by FIFA for the moment.

“The issue with Diego is about the immediate future and will develop over time,” said del Bosque, as reported by AS. “When we spoke to him, we got on well. He’s a good guy, a noble person and a family guy, he’s got all the attributes to be a Spain player.”

Costa could make his debut for Spain in their friendly against Italy, in March.
