Neymar arrived for his first day at Barcelona on Monday after his €57 million transfer from Santos this summer.

The Spanish champions welcomed back 10 first-team players today after their involvement in the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil.

Brazilian defender Dani Alves returns as a champion, while the eight Spanish players come back as runners-up, following the 3-0 final at the Maracanã.

Neymar will undergo routine medical examinations with his new team-mates this morning, before joining up with the rest of the Barca squad for this evening’s training session, which will be open to the media for the first fifteen minutes.

This will be Gerardo Martino’s first full training session in charge of the club, after being presented as replacement for Tito Vilanova last week.

Neymar arrived in Barcelona early on Sunday morning, giving him the whole day to get settled in his new house in the upper part of the city, not far from the Camp Nou. Everything at his new home has been sorted out by his mother Nadine and sister Rafaella, as reported on MARCA.

The 21-year-old could make his first appearance against Lechia Gdansk on Tuesday, or when Barcelona face his former club Santos for the Joan Gamper Trophy on Friday.
