Fluminense’s manager Abel Braga has ruled out the possibility of resigning following his team’s defeat to Grêmio.

It was Fluminense’s 5th defeat in a row in the national league, increasing pressure to have Abel Braga sacked.

Abel Braga has, however, ruled out the possibility of resigning, he said after the game: “I don’t think about resigning, but I don’t know what will happen. My only concern is to make Fluminense win again. I know we will have a complicated game against Cruzeiro in three days.”

Reports in Brazil claim that Abel Braga could be sacked by Fluminense’s board as early as this morning. Abel Braga was close to managing Al-Ain but he decided to stay at the Tricolor.
