Real Madrid’s midfielder Casemiro is happy with his performance in the friendly game against Lyon and hopes to fight for a place in the team.
The midfielder joined Real Madrid in January, but first had to play for the ‘B’ team, called Castilla, where he impressed the club’s staff.
Casemiro scored a goal against Lyon, and is confident he can establish himself at Real Madrid, he told reporters: “Carlo’s happy with me, I’m going to fight for a place in the team”
He started the game on the bench, and replaced Illaramendi during the first half. Kaká did not play the game, while Marcelo did not play either as he participated in the Confederations Cup in June.
