Malaga have confirmed the departure of Júlio Baptista from the club after both parties agreed to terminate his contract.
Baptista has been in negotiations with Cruzeiro over a possible return to his homeland and this development paves the way for a free transfer.

“The club and the player came to an understanding following his last match against German side, Kaller SC.”
Malaga would like to wish the Brazilian the best of luck for the future and his new career with Brazil’s Cruzeiro.”
The 31-year-old, who has been with the Spanish outfit for two and a half years, is now expected to join Brasileirão outfit Cruzeiro.
The Brazilian has played for Arsenal and Real Madrid before signing for Malaga in 2011, but now he seems set to spend the rest of his career in Brazil.
