Arsenal have sent scouts to tonight’s Copa Libertadores final clash between Atlético Mineiro and Olimpia in order to run the rule over Bernard.

ESPN Brasil claims that their sources have informed them that a representive of Arsenal will attend the final tonight and submit a report on the Brazilian.

This comes after reports that the Gunners had agreed a £21 million fee with Atlético Mineiro for the transfer of the 20-year-old winger.

Arsenal look to have fended off competition from FC Porto, Liverpool and Tottenham for the Brazilian youngster.

Asked about his departure from Atletico-MG on last Monday, Bernard declined to comment on the matter and said he was focused on end with Olimpia.

“It’s a week that does not want to talk about it, I’m focused on the game and do not want to be ignorant or rude to anyone. What will happen to me from Wednesday’s not up to me, but the board,” he said.
