Paris Saint-Germain are set to pay tribute to Brazil legend Ronaldo before their Ligue 1 clash with Marseille on Sunday.

Ronaldo, 36, represented the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter and AC Milan during the course of his illustrious eighteen year career.

The Brazilian World Cup winner and three-time world player of the year also played for Cruzeiro and Corinthians in his native country, as well as PSV Eindhoven in Holland.

Ronaldo never played for PSG or in France before retiring in 2011, however, the Parisians will hold a ceremony honouring him prior to their Classique and the legendary striker will kick-off the game in recognition of his numerous achievements.

“The club decided to honour former Brazil international Ronaldo, who will be the special guest for this PSG-OM,” the Ligue 1 leaders said on their website (www.psg.fr) on Friday.

“He will virtually kick the match off.”

The game could mark the debut of Ronaldo’s former Madrid teammate David Beckham, who moved to the Parc des Princes on a five-month deal in January.
