AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has officially announced that the Rossoneri have given up with trying to sign Kaká from Real Madrid.

The two parties have been tirelessly trying to reach an agreement for the unhappy Brazilian to return to the San Siro during this transfer window.

However, the deal has officially collapsed due to financial considerations, like it has on more than one occasion.

“There is no chance of getting Kaká now, are we are no longer working on it,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia late Friday night.

Real Madrid boss José Mourinho seemed to have revived the deal when he declared that the move would be good for all parties involved.

He previously stated: “First of all I want Kaká to be happy. I think Milan would be a good solution for him.

“For now though, he remains a Madrid player.”

The 30-year-old playmaker will now have to remain at the Santiago Bernabéu, where he has failed to secure a regular first-team place under the Portuguese coach.
