Inter Milan have accepted a €13 million offer from Premier League side Liverpool to sign attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho, according to reports from Sky Sports Italia.
Coutinho, 20, has been at the centre of transfer rumours involving Liverpool for the past ten days and now, if reports are to be believed, the story may be coming to its conclusion.
The former Vasco da Gama forward arrived at the San Siro in 2010, but has failed to win a regular first-team place with the Nerazzurri, despite excelling during a loan-spell at Espanyol last season.
A technically-gifted player, Coutinho fits perfectly into the setup of current Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, who is looking to build a fast-paced, dynamic side at Anfield.
Inter finally appear to have seen their asking price met and, if the same reports from Italy are to be believed, will now turn their attention to Corinthians’ box-to-box midfielder Paulinho—a long-term target of the club.
