LA Galaxy have confirmed that they have signed Juninho on a permanent deal from São Paulo after the player spent two seasons on loan in Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old has signed a muti-year contract which cannot be disclosed due to MLS rules and will continue to play a role for Bruce Arena’s side.

The midfielder has made 87 appearances for the Los Angeles outfit, scoring 13 goals and winning the MLS Cup twice.

The LA Galaxy star was also named in the MLS All-Star team that took on Manchester United in 2011.

Juninho completes the move after spending five years at São Paulo and failing to make a single first team appearance, being farmed out to Toledo before joning LA Galaxy.

He joins a number of Brazilians already in the squad with David Lopes, Marcelo Sarvas and Leonardo all featuring for LA Galaxy.

Galaxy have also confirmed that Irish international Robbie Keane has signed a new contract extension, keeping him at the club for the forseeable future.
