Metalist Kharkiv’s Taison has signed for Ukrainian rivals Shakhtar Donetsk in a £12m deal and has signed a five-year deal despite reports linking the Brazilian to Chelsea.
Chelsea have missed out on the winger despite reports from some quarters that a fee was agreed and personal terms agreed with the player.
It now seems that Metalist have decided to sell to Shakhtar who have made a late swoop for the highly rated winger and Taison will be joining a large Brazilian contingent at the club.
A five-year deal has been signed and questions will now be raised over Willian’s future with Chelsea also reported to be interest in the playmaker.
Taison shot to Youtube fame with a stunning strike in the Europa League which was reminiscent of legendary Dutch striker Marco van Basten’s volley against the USSR in Euro 88.
