Transfers of athletes between Brazilian clubs moved $42 million in 2023

The Registration, Transfer and Licensing Department of the CBF has released the number of transfers made between Brazilian clubs in 2023. 1,545 domestic transfers were recorded, with 59 of them being onerous (when there is payment of any financial compensation between the clubs involved in the transfer).

The value generated by the transfer of players within Brazil in 2023 was approximately US$41 million (R$209.8 million).

The movements of athletes between Brazilian clubs, whether professional or amateur, are duly registered by the clubs in the National Registration System administered by the CBF. In cooperation with FIFA, from the 2023 season onwards, all transfers are also registered in the DTMS (Domestic Transfer Matching System) system administered by the world football governing body.
