Chelsea were stunned by a Shaun Wright-Phillips strike as QPR ran out 1-0 winners in the West London derby.

Oscar was given a rare start under manager Rafael Benitez while David Luiz continued in his new midfield role alongside Frank Lampard.

The game got off to a fiesty start as Marko Marin narrowly avoided a sending off after a dangerous tackle on Stephane M’Bia.

Chelsea created the better chances but couldn’t covert them until Frank Lampard slotted home after some poor QPR defending only for the effort to be disallowed for offside.

In a rare attack, QPR found themselves with a corner which was cleared as far as Adel Taarabt who set up Wright-Phillips for a 20 yard strike that evaded a crowd of Chelsea defenders and past Ross Turnbull in goal.

Ramires was brought in off the bench for Frank Lampard midway in the second half but the Blues couldn’t find a way back into the game.
