São Paulo star Lucas Moura has been given advice by Kaká and future Paris Saint-Germain teammate Thiago Silva ahead of the playmaker’s move to France in January.

The 20-year-old will head to the Parc des Princes at the turn of the New Year, after PSG agreed a fee worth €45million (£35.5m) with the Tricolor Paulista earlier this summer.

Lucas has insisted he is fully focused on playing for São Paulo but also admitted that he can’t help but think about his move.

He said: “It is clear that I am focused to help my club São Paulo in the Brasileirão and Copa Sudamericana.

“But I do regularly think the challenges that lie ahead. I imagine the fact I will have lack of friends and my family."

Lucas is currently on international duty with the Seleção and is learning from experienced playmaker Kaká, who moved from his boyhood club São Paulo to AC Milan in 2003.

Lucas said: “Kaká has had a lot of discussions with me.

“He told me he learned a lot as a player and as a person. He advised me to keep quiet and consider this experience abroad as a natural step."

The young midfielder, who came close to joining Manchester United, will link up with fellow Brazilian Thiago Silva at PSG, following his €42 million transfer from AC Milan this summer.

“I also spoke with Thiago [Silva] to find out what he thought of the club and the city. He has described the project at the club and insisted that the leaders want to go very far," he concluded.
