David Luiz has become the official Chelsea junior members" ambassador, where he will work for the ‘Bridge Kids" organisation to plan various events for the young supporters.

Described as “a favourite amongst our young fans", David Luiz will offer the children behind-the scenes access in a monthly blog, invitations to exclusive events and will even visit the school of a lucky competition winner.

The 25-year-old Brazilian has become a popular figure at Stamford Bridge, with his extravert personality and trademark hairstyle a source of great amusement to many.

Luiz has already offered up his first blog entry and revealed a bit about his life in London:

“One of our new players this season is my friend from the Brazil national team, Oscar. He is a great player and a great friend to me, so every day we stick together and go to each other"s home, where we speak about football all the time and that is when we planned our celebration dance.

“My friends and family are the most important thing in my life, after God, and I spend a lot of time laughing, joking and talking about football with my Chelsea team-mates.

Now I have a games room in my house and recently I have been playing video games, snooker and pool with my friends after training. Some of the Chelsea players have come too – Oscar, Ramires, Lucas Piazon, Juan Mata and Oriol Romeu – but whatever they tell you, I always win!"
