Chelsea star Oscar has revealed his desire to follow in the footsteps of Blues legends Frank Lampard and John Terry at the club.

The 21-year-old Brazilian has started three out of Chelsea’s last four games in all competitions, since hitting a brace on his Champions League debut against Juventus a fortnight ago.

Now with a regular starting berth, the ambitious youngster has set himself the ultimate challenge of becoming a Stamford Bridge icon in the future, like Lampard and Terry.

He told the Daily Mirror: “I hope to have the same path as Lampard and Terry here at Chelsea.

“They have a great career at the club and are very important for the squad. They are big idols."

The £25 million summer signing believes that his superb performance against Juventus has made Chelsea fans see him in a new light, so Oscar is now aiming to maintain these standards.

“They [the English] will certainly follow me more closely now," he added.

“When I played against Juventus, whenever I touched the ball, people looked at me in a different way. I hope I keep playing at a high level here."

Oscar will be looking to recreate this performance when the Blues take on FC Nordsjaelland at Copenhagen"s Parken Stadium this evening.
