Hulk has stated he is fine at Porto following a summer of transfer talk linking him with a move away from the club.

The 26-year-old was strongly linked to a whole host of clubs, in particular Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, but the Portuguese champions were not willing to sell the striker for less than his €100 million release clause.

Hulk, who was also a target of Paris Saint-Germain and Zenit St. Petersburg, will now remain with Victoria Pereira’s side until at least January and the Seleção international has stated he is fine doing so.

He said: “I still have four years of the contract, I am fine here.

“I have won two league titles and I hope to win a third title this year.

“I am happy to wear the jersey of FC Porto, who are a big European team.”

Hulk scored Porto’s third goal as they ran out 3-2 winners against Olhanense at the Estádio do Algarve last night.

The Brazilian appeared in all the games but one during the London 2012 Olympic Games and scored in the final against Mexico, where the Seleção had to settle for the silver medal.
