More famous for being the son of Bebeto than his own talents (for the time being), Matheus will join up with Flamengo"s first-team for the first time against Santos on Sunday.

Matheus, who will soon turn 18, was the subject of Bebeto"s famous cradle-rocking celebration at the World Cup in 1994 and will now look to make his professional debut as he follows in his father"s footsteps.

Having been called to join the senior squad by manager Joel Santana last week, Matheus was handed more good news on Thursday when selected for the Brazil Under-20 side"s upcoming fixtures with Argentina and Uruguay.

“I am very happy to have been called to the Seleção," he told Lancenet! “I thank [U20 coach] Ney Franco for the opportunity and I guarantee that I will give my best to win another title for Brazil."
