The 33-year-old started his career at Flamengo, and the Rio de Janeiro giants have made no secret that they want to bring the centre-back back to Gávea.

Last week, the Rubro Negro offloaded defenders Rafael Galhardo and David Braz to Santos, and the Brazilian club are now reportedly in the market looking to strengthen their back line.

According to O Globo, Flamengo have offered Roma their highly-talented 19-year-old forward, Thomás, on loan with the option to buy for €8 million.

Thomás has been included in Brazil’s under-20 squad for this months 8 Nations International Tournament in South Africa.
