A four-team tournament would be featured as part of an overall South America tour for Barcelona, with friendlies in Colombia and Peru also on the cards.
Provisional scheduling is that the tournament will take place during the London Olympics, meaning there may be absentees, but there is little doubt that a visit from Barcelona would grab the headlines.
The fourth team planned for the event has not been finalised, but in Flamengo and Corinthians, Globo are planning to utilise Brazil’s two largest fan-bases.
