In an interview with Mexican newspaper, Esto, Rafael Márquez confirmed he has not yet spoken with his agent about Flamengo’s interest and revealed he doesnt know if he’ll remain at New York Red Bulls for the 2012 season.
”Flamengo is a great club, the league is good. Brazil is growing in all directions and their going to be hosting the World Cup. If Flamengo’s offer is good then I’ll consider it.”
The former Barcelona defender is also being linked with a move back to his homeland, with Mexican giants, Club América, reportedly interested in the thirty two year old’s services.
