The Paulista club have chased Montillo for a while now and with Cruzeiro believed to be wilting and lowering their demands to €10 million, Sanchez is confident a deal can be struck.
Also present at the meeting were Banco BMG, who own 20% of the players economic rights, whilst Cruzeiro own 60% and an unknown group 20%.
Montillo has expressed his desire to move to the league champions and has agreed terms with the São Paulo club. All that remains now is for the clubs to agree acceptable terms and then Cruzeiro can continue the rebuilding process.
