LANCENET! have reported that Gremio were already in talks with Junior on Tuesday, the same day current boss, Celso Roth, announced he’d be leaving the club at the end of the season.

Junior was once a player of Gremio between 1985 and 1987, winning three state championships and being their top scorer in his debut season.

Roths last game in charge will be the Gre-Nal derby on Sunday, where a win for the Tricolor club, could deny their arch rivals, Internacional, a place in next year’s Copa Libertadores.
