Rafinha, who like his brother is also based at Barcelona, had shown interest in playing for the country of his birth. But, now it seems he may indeed follow Thiago in pulling on the jersey of the Iberian side.
“Rafinha is eager to play the Brazilian national team,” his father, Brazilian World Cup winner Mazinho had said just last week.
“It is normal, all Brazilian players are like this. But, until it happens, nothing is decided.”
Older brother Thiago had also interested the selectors of the Brazilian national team, but having now represented Spain in the EURO 2012 qualifiers, there is no turning back.
