Following on from 16-year old Victor Andrade signing a new deal on Monday, Santos have moved swiftly to offer the full-back a new deal at the club, having made his proffessional debut earlier this campaign.

Importantly for the Paulista club, Santos have purchased a greater percentage of the player’s economic rights in the new deal. The club now retain 65% (previously 45%) of the players registration, an important factor in determining the player’s future and guaranteeing financial benefit for the club.

Crystian is one of our main focuses,” said President Luis Alvaro Oliveira Ribeiro. “He has won his place in the professional squad after brilliant performances in the Copa São Paulo.”

“This new agreement reinforces our policy of retaining our core values and protecting the interests of the club, therefore we increased considerably our percentage of economic rights of the player.”

The full-back has made four appearances in the Santos first-team and spoke enthusiastically of his experiences.

I am adapting to the life of a professional,” the 19-year old stated. “Muricy Ramalho is a very demanding coach and I’m learning a lot from him.”

With this new contract, I am more relaxed and can look to continue my development here at Santos.”
