Manchester City’s Ederson benched by injury…again

Recall that on March 10, Ederson suffered a muscle injury during a 1-1 draw with Liverpool. This made him absent in Brazil's friendlies against England and Spain.

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson was substituted at halftime during their match against Nottingham Forest after struggling in the first half and sustaining an injury. He had difficulty handling corners and collided with Willy Boly, narrowly avoiding a penalty. “He seemed off today, and that knock didn’t help,” commented a game analyst.

Despite receiving medical treatment for a shoulder issue, Ederson dropped a cross before the break, prompting his replacement by Stefan Ortega with City leading 1-0 from a Josko Gvardiol header.

Ortega, who has played 16 times for City this season, may feature in the upcoming FA Cup final against Manchester United if Ederson is not fit.

City also faced other lineup challenges, with Phil Foden and Ruben Dias out due to illness, and Erling Haaland, recovering from a muscle injury, was available only as a substitute.

Remembering Zagallo

The first three episodes are available on Sambafoot’s Youtube channel. Stay tuned for the upcoming releases as we keep telling this legend’s life story.
