Richarlison will miss Tottenham’s next match, Sunday at home against Nottingham Forest for the 32nd round of the Premier League. This was confirmed by coach Ange Postecoglou when he reported that the Brazilian attacker felt “discomfort in his knee” so he should “rest a little.”

“Richy has had knee discomfort the last two weeks and we think he needs to take this weekend off to rest a little, and he will be fine to play against Newcastle next weekend,” the coach explained at a press conference.

In his place, the Spurs will again bet on Brennan Johnson, the 22-year-old Welsh forward who arrived last September and who gained minutes due to injuries and international commitments of his teammates. “He has found a bit of confidence, consistency and understanding of the way we play. We bought him as a young player, with the idea that what he does this year will be much more in the future,” Postecoglou stated.

The London team is fifth in the standings, in positions to qualify for the next Europa League. It is only two points behind Aston Villa, in fourth place, so the last leg of the season will be key to aspire to a place in the Champions League.

On the previous day, Tottenham failed to maintain the lead against West Ham and the match ended 1-1. That tie demonstrated the irregular performance of the team, which in the last five games also had one defeat and three wins.

Manchester United-Liverpool, the highlight of the day

Liverpool, leader of the Premier League, will play against Manchester United at Old Trafford in this weekend’s big Premier League match. The team led by Jürgen Klopp is obliged to win against the stalking of Arsenal and Manchester City in the race for the title.
