18-year-old forward Malcom should be the sixth starter from Corinthians’ title winning team to leave the club this month.
During a press conference on Friday, Corinthians coach Tite even requested the club to avoid the sale of Malcolm to French side Bordeaux. Corinthians have also announced their squad for the upcoming Campeonato Paulista, but Malcom was not included in the list. A club director Eduardo Ferreira confirmed that Malcolm was not named on the list because negotiations are going on with Bordeaux. According to UOL Esporte, the teenager will see his earnings quadrupled, as the French team are willing to pay him a monthly salary of €92,000. Corinthians will be entitled to 30% of Malcom’s transfer fee, while his agent Fernando Garcia holds 35% of the economic rights. The rest is divided between Nílson Moura, who has 15%, and Guilherme Miranda and Thiago Ferro, with the other 20%.
