Due to the conflict of dates between the upcoming Brazil international against Chile and the Copa Libertadores tie between Palmeiras and Tijuana, the CBF has released defender Henrique to represent his club.

With only three central defenders in the initial squad, and Henrique released, coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has chosen to call up Internacional defender Rodrigo Moledo for a potential debut.

A former Palmeiras manager, Scolari took the initiative to release Henrique before the arrival of a request from the Verdão. The team will convene on Monday, before facing Chile on Wednesday—outside of official FIFA international dates.

A second Palmeiras player, striker Leandro, remains in the Seleção setup, having been prohibited from representing the club in this season’s Libertadores.

The Grêmio owned forward has already been registered in the competition by his parent club this season, and was refused permission to represent his new side this campaign.

The match up with Chile will feature solely domestic-based players.
