The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has just announced the renewal of its contract with Globo for the exclusive broadcast of the friendly matches and qualifications of the Brazilian men’s national team for the 2026 World Cup.

TV Globo, Sportv, Globoplay and the Ge portal will broadcast the matches. This decades-long partnership between the two parties will therefore continue for the next four years, starting with the next friendlies scheduled for June.

The next friendlies will take place on June 17 and 20 against Guinea and Senegal respectively. The World Cup qualifying campaign will begin in September, with the first match against Bolivia, broadcast exclusively on TV Globo and Sportv.

Ednaldo Rodrigues satisfied

The president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues, said he was happy with this partnership which will bring the Brazilian national team closer to the supporters.

Fernando Manuel Pinto, Sports Rights Director of Globo, also expressed his satisfaction, stressing that this contract will allow millions of fans to gather in front of Globo screens to follow the preparation of the national team.

In the absence of knowing the new trainer for this period, at least we now know the broadcaster.
