The young Brazilian defender, formerly of São Paulo, Lucas Beraldo, has stood out at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) since his arrival in January this year.

With a consistent and impressive performance, the 20-year-old player has gained the recognition of Spanish coach Luis Enrique and former football players, who praise his rapid adaptation and excellence on the field.

In a period of approximately four months with the French team, Beraldo has already accumulated 18 games and two goals scored, a remarkable feat for a young player newly arrived on the European scene.

His rise to the starting lineup was driven by Skriniar’s injury shortly after his arrival, and since then the Brazilian defender has remained a key piece in PSG’s defense.

Coach Luis Enrique did not spare praise for Beraldo’s performance, describing it as “extraordinary” and highlighting his ability to adapt and his consistency on the field. The young player’s feat is even more impressive considering the pressure and expectations surrounding Brazilian athletes in European clubs.

“I would say that Beraldo’s performance over these months is extraordinary. That a player so young, coming from Brazil, without knowing anyone, adapts and his performance has been spectacular. It’s brilliant,” said the Spanish coach.

Focus on the mission

While Beraldo shines at PSG, the Parisian club is preparing to face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League semifinals.

Mbappé’s possible departure, as reported by the European press, has driven PSG to seek reinforcements, with names like Lamine Yamal from Barcelona and Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle being considered as possible signings.

Beraldo in the National Team

In addition to his success at the club, Beraldo also had a remarkable debut for the Brazilian national team. The defender, who had passages through São Paulo before moving to PSG, was a starter in his first match for the national team and showed defensive solidity throughout the 90 minutes.

His stats against England highlight his efficiency, with 79% passing accuracy and 100% duels won both on the ground and in the air.

Promise

With a meteoric rise and consistent performance, Lucas Beraldo establishes himself as a promising talent not only for PSG, but also for the Brazilian national team. His skills, determination, and ability to adapt are attributes that make him a key piece both in the present and future of international football.
