The Brazilian National Team arrives motivated by good results in the recent friendly matches. In December, the team secured two victories in three games played. On that occasion, the Brazilians won against Japan 4-3 in the first match, were defeated 2-0 in the second, and ended the last FIFA date of 2023 with a 4-0 victory over Nicaragua.

First official competition under the command of Arthur Elias

After the arrival of the 23 players, coach Arthur Elias led the final training session before the debut. At Torero Stadium in San Diego, the team put into practice the coach’s instructions, making the final adjustments before the match. The Gold Cup is Arthur Elias’s first official competition in charge of the national team. He took over the position after the World Cup.

In addition to the challenge against Puerto Rico, Brazil will face two more opponents in the group stage. The team will face Colombia on Sunday (25) and Panama on Wednesday (28). Both matches are also scheduled for 12:15 AM at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.
