Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been impressed with the speed of Gabriel Martinelli’s adaption to life in the Premier League.
The Brazilian has forced his way into the Gunners starting line-up in double quick time and bagged 9 goals so far this season.
Arteta, who arrived at the club in December, says it is the speed of the player’s adaption to his surroundings that has caught his eye.
“I think his mentality makes a big difference," he said. "I don’t l know how the process when he joined and what he did to settle so quickly.
“But I can imagine he has the right people around him for sure, his family and entourage, and I think as well they really look after him and I think the club were very on top of him and positive about everything about him and his teammates were a big help.
"He can play any of the three positions up top depending on where you ask him to do and the type of movements and type of positions he needs to take but he can be comfortable.
“Maybe in future he can develop as a No.9. more, probably yes, but at the moment any of the three."
