According to France Football, Barcelona are in touch with Chelsea’s Brazilian winger Willian, as they continue to search for reinforcement in the wake of Neymar’s departure to Paris Saint Germain.
The Catalan club have been frustrated in their attempts to sign Liverpool forward Philippe Coutinho and Borussia Dortmund starlet Ousmane Dembele and France Football reports that they have kept dialogue open with Chelsea’s Willian.
The Brazilian could fit into Barca’s system as a wide attacker, having impressed there since joining Chelsea 4 years ago. Willian lost his place in the Chelsea side last season when coach Antonio Conte reverted to a wing back system.
The publication does not suggest that a formal bid for the player has been launched, but with Liverpool continually rejecting Barca’s offers for Coutinho and time running short in the transfer window, they may be minded to turn to the Chelsea man.
