Liverpool attacker Philippe Coutinho has been nominated for the Premier League PFA Young Player of the Year for 2015-16. The award is voted for by fellow professionals and Coutinho will compete with other nominees Delle Alli (Tottenham Hotspur), Romelu Lukaku (Everton), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Jack Butland (Stoke City) and Ross Barkley (Everton) for the award. The winner will be announced later this month.

 

The awards ceremony will be held at Grosevenor House on Sunday, 24th April. 23 year old Coutinho has scored ten goals in thirty four appearances for the Reds this season. Coutinho would be the first winner of the award from Liverpool since Steven Gerrard won it in 2000-01. He would also be the first Brazilian to win it.
