The coach of Rennes, Rolland Coubris confirmed that Colombian midfielder Juan Quintero will leave the club and sign with Brasileirão side Internacional.
With stints at Envigado, Atlético Nacional and Pescara, Quintero came to Portugal in 2013 to be the number 10 of Porto, who purchased him when fellow Colombian James Rodríguez [now at Real Madrid] was sold to Monaco. Inter president Vitório Piffero had said on Saturday that the club could announce one of their new signings this week, all signs point towards the 23-year-old Colombian. According to Globo Esporte, Inter will pay around €200,000 for a period of one year. At a press-conference, Rennes coach said: “Quintero is going to Porto Alegre on loan until December."
When contacted, agent Ricardo Calleri did not mention the Brazilian club, but confirmed that the future of the player is close to be defined. He said: “We are seeing, in one or two days it should be set."
