Barcelona’s Brazilian right-back Daniel Alves, who is also in the sights of Chinese clubs, may be sold in the middle of the year.
Premier League side Manchester United have reportedly entered the race with Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande to sign Daniel Alves in the next transfer window. According to the information from Brazilian journalist Bruno Andrade, leaders of the English club made their first contact for the Barcelona man this month, and promised to schedule a meeting soon with the representatives of the player. Aged 32, Daniel Alves has a contract with Barça until June 2017, and it’s worth remembering that Guangzhou Evergrande, coached by Brazilian manager Luiz Felipe Scolari, had offered around €12.6 million annually to the player in February. Although the negotiations didn’t advance at that time, Guangzhou warned that they would come back for the player in the middle of the season. If the Brazilian is sold, then Barcelona may consider bringing back Héctor Bellerín, who has stood out at Arsenal. The 21-year-old came through Barcelona’s youth system, but was bought by Arsenal in 2011.
