The investment fund that owned 40% of the economic rights of the player wants to know how much Real Madrid offered to sign the Brazilian superstar.
The court in São Paulo determines that Brazilian club Santos must submit within a week all proposals received for the sale and transfer of Neymar in 2013. Investment group DIS which owned 40% of the player’s economic rights, had filed a lawsuit requesting the submission of documents. The fund’s members accuse Neymar and his father of hiding the real values of the transfer from Santos to Barcelona, and thus not paying them the 40% share. DIS wants to have access to the values proposed to Santos to confirm whether the transfer fee was the same one that both clubs announced publicly, and secondly, to confirm that the proposal of Barcelona was even more financially advantageous among all the existing offers. This is because, if not, the investment fund may try to extend the value that they pleaded in Spanish court.
In the Spanish court, DIS states that Santos owe them around €35 million from the sale of Neymar. In their appeal to the court in Brazil, the group wants Santos to submit proposals received in 2013 from Real Madrid and Barcelona, in order to compare them.
