Santos striker Ricardo Oliveira was substituted during the break in the club’s 2-0 defeat to Red Bull Brasil on Sunday, due to a right knee problem.
The 35-year-old attacker, who was the top-scorer of Brazilian football last year, is expected to recover before Santos’ derby fixture against Corinthians on Sunday at the Vila Belmiro. Ricardo Oliveira did physiotherapy in the training centre during the week, but Santos coach Dorival Júnior, however, said that the player is still not 100% fit. Nevertheless, the coach told reporters during the press-conference that the veteran should be available for the game. Dorival Júnior said: “He still has a discomfort, but he will not run away from a game with such importance.”
If Ricardo Oliveira is ready, then Santos’ line-up should be: Vanderlei; Victor Ferraz, Gustavo Henrique, Lucas Veríssimo, Zeca; Thiago Maia, Renato, Lucas Lima, Serginho; Gabigol, Ricardo Oliveira.
