Fluminense have signed 19-year-old midfielder Mateus from Clube Esportivo Aimoré, who was also in negotiations with Internacional.

The player comes to strengthen Fluminense’s youth team and fill the space left by youngsters promoted to the first team earlier this year. Mateus, who turned professional at Novo Hamburgo, scored a goal against Internacional in the Gauchão fixture. The offer of Inter was a loan until December, and approximately €97,000 for 60% of the economic rights if he is approved in the club’s youth team.
