On Tuesday, Fluminense’s executive director Jorge Macedo met former Atlético Mineiro coach Levir Culpi in Coritiba, while club president Peter Siemsen was with Eduardo Uram, the agent of Cuca. And it was precisely this double-dealing that bothered the 2013 Copa Libertadores winning coach. Talking to Globo Esporte, Cuca was direct and left the way open for Levir. He said: “I heard that Fluminense are talking to Levir, besides me. When they want to negotiate only with me, I can come back to help, as has happened before. In the way it is, the path is open for the club to reach an agreement with Levir. I will follow my schedule.”
During the meeting, Eduardo Uram and Peter Siemsen discussed the project of the club, wages of Cuca and the length of the contract. The agent also heard that Cuca was the main option of the Brazilian side to replace Eduardo Baptista, who was sacked following poor results.
