Atlético Mineiro have rejected two official proposals for defender Jemerson and striker Lucas Pratto as they intend to keep both players in Belo Horizonte.
The board tries to keep most of their major players to compete in this year’s Copa Libertadores. As reported by Globo Esporte, La Liga side Celta Vigo and French team Monaco were the two clubs that made proposals to Atlético Mineiro. The Spanish team offered around €9 million for Lucas Pratto’s services, while Monaco had already approached the Brazilian club with a €10 million bid for 23-year-old defender Jemerson. Club president Daniel Nepomuceno initially refused both proposals, but despite not commenting on negotiations, he knows that it will be difficult to hold onto them. Besides Monaco, other teams reported to be interested in Jemerson are Sevilla, FC Porto, AC Milan, AS Roma and Lazio.
