Brazilian winger Douglas Costa is resigned to his Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola leaving at the end of the season, but hopes to be reunited with the Premier League bound boss. Guardiola announced on Tuesday that he would not be renewing his contract with Bayern because he wants to coach in the Premier League.

Costa, who joined Bayern from Shakhtar Donetsk during the summer, hopes to be reunited with Pep one day, maybe even for his country. Guardiola was linked with the Brazil position following the departure of Luiz Felipe Scolari in 2014, but the CBF opted for Dunga instead, rumours persist that Guardiola would like the Seleção job one day.

Douglas Costa would be in favour of such a move once Dunga moves on, ""It"s true. I came to Bayern for Pep," the former Shakhtar Donetsk winger told Sport Bild.

“[Guardiola as Brazil coach] would be great. Pep Guardiola is very respected in Brazil as people love his offensive style of football. I think it would be great if I could play with him in the Selecao someday.

“Previously with Brazil there was quick criticism because of a single misplaced pass but today, as a Bayern player, the fans and pundits have more patience with me."

Barcelona right back Dani Alves has also previously claimed that Guardiola was interested in the Brazil job. It seems likely that he will join one of Manchester United, Manchester City or Chelsea next summer.
