Ex Manchester United midfielder Kleberson has joined North American Soccer League side Fort Lauderdale Strikers. The 36 year old, a World Cup winner with Brazil in 2002, has joined the American side at the age of 36.

The US side are co-owned by legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldo, a teammate of Kleberson’s in the Seleção. Fort Lauderdale will compete in next week’s Florida Cup, which also features Corinthians, Fluminense, Atletico-MG, International, Shakhtar Donetsk, Independiente Santa Fe and Bayer Leverkusen.

Kleberson will join compatriots Bruno Cardoso, Adrianinho, Geison Moura, Maicon Santos and Gabriel at the club, where he will wear the number 8 shirt. Kleberson joined Manchester United from Atlético-PR in 2003, making 20 appearances and scoring 2 goals.

His time in Manchester was brief and unhappy, though he did manage to win a Premier League title and an F.A. Cup with the club. He also played for Besiktas, Flamengo and Bahia. Previously he represented NASL side Indy Eleven. He won 32 caps for Brazil between 2002 and 2010.
