Italian press reported on Monday that a deal between Internacional and AS Roma for the transfer of 23-year-old goalkeeper Álisson in June is already closed.
According to the information from Globo Esporte, a source of the European club have confirmed to them that negotiations are still ongoing and there was still no definitive outcome. The Italian club and Internacional resumed negotiations this week, and to try to convince the Brazilian side to release the goalkeeper, Roma have increased their proposal from €5 million to €7 million. The initial offer in December did not please Inter, and there was an increase of €2m in their offer by Roma. Juventus were offering €8m for the player’s services, but Álisson refused to go to Turin. The goalkeeper seems to be a priority for Roma, and would be willing to offer the same value as Juventus to close a deal. The source said: “The deal is not yet closed, but it’s well underway. We look forward to count on Álisson and I can say that, at present, Roma have increased a little more their offer to Internacional, to around €7m.”
In December, Roma had already sealed a deal with the goalkeeper, but an agreement between the two clubs was missing, which is expected to be solved in the coming days. The European transfer window closes on February 1 and Roma want to close the deal before the deadline. Álisson, however, would remain at Internacional until June, and take part in the Campeonato Gaúcho.
