Paris Saint-Germain lost 1-0 to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, a setback that defender Marquinhos found frustrating. “We trained a lot for this play. We knew what was coming but still lost focus on the crucial detail,” he said to TNT Sports after the game.

Marquinhos is confident about PSG’s chances in the second leg at home. “We are strong at home. It’s crucial we leverage that to overturn this result,” he emphasized.

The game also saw PSG’s young player Beraldo replace Lucas Hernández. Marquinhos praised Beraldo’s performance. “Beraldo, despite being very young, has incredible experience. He plays with a lot of security,” he commented.

With the return match scheduled next Tuesday at Parc des Princes, PSG aims to reach the final, facing the winner of the Real Madrid and Bayern Munich tie, currently drawn at 2-2.
