Upon signing for Arsenal for around €19 million during the January transfer window, Gabriel Paulista was forced by the North London club’s board to formalise his relationship with agent Hugo Garcia which had until then been based on solely on a spoken agreement.
ESPN Brasil reports that the Arsenal board requested the documents regarding the agent-player relationship on the eve of the transfer, only to be told they did not exist.
It was solely for this reason that the two formalised a written agreement.
Representing more than 30 players, Garcia has a signed contract with almost none, working mainly on the basis of trust.
